Girl's Best Friend

Earlier this month I brought you raves about Purely Cosmetics' Diamond Powder Perfect Finish. Well, I still abso-freaking-lutely love that powder and what it does for my skin! I rave about it to anyone who will listen and 4 or 5 of you have already purchased it and reported back that yes, it's pretty damn awesome. So I guess diamonds really are a girl's best friend, eh?

Apparently so! Because the unique benefits of diamond powder have also been noticed by Estee Lauder-owned American Beauty (exclusive to Kohls stores). They have introduced a new luxe line of products for American Beauty starting with their Ultimate Diamond Restorative Anti-Aging Cream. This rich moisturizer reduces the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles and works to restore the skin's natural elasticity. It also works to fade spots and brighten your overall complexion. This stuff isn't cheap; it's $49.50 for a 1.7 oz jar, however, as Robyn of Purely Cosmetics says, "there's freakin diamond in it!" haha. Seriously, where else can you get a diamond for such a low price? And I've always maintained that good skin is worth every penny. So if you can afford it, why not? Kohls stores (the only place you can get American Beauty products) always have testers for you to try it out, and have a good return policy, too. The texture of this cream really is pretty heavenly. You'll feel luxurious just using it.

I also just noticed that Kohls' website has a couple of free samples with any of their beauty brands purchases...you'll get a free sample of their perfume Beloved (American Beauty) as well as a sample of Lumecin, a brightening gluco-protein treatment. That's a big fancy way of saying it does the work of retinoids without actually being a retinoid. It's more gentle on the skin. Lumecin is the real deal; the science is all there and this stuff works!

If the idea of diamonds in your skin care and makeup intrigues you, stay tuned for a review of the next amazing product in the Ultimate Diamond line, which I will tell you all about as soon as I am given the green light. ;) You won't wanna miss it.
